Life Academy is a ministry outreach of LifeChurch. We are an inter-denominational Christian school that was birthed out of a desire to minister to children and their families. It is the goal of our administration and teachers to provide an environment where each child is treasured and treated with the utmost care as they learn about their Lord, themselves and their world through a Christian world view. Our mission statement says it well:
MISSION STATEMENT: "To provide academic excellence in an atmosphere of safety and love while preparing and equipping school-age children for the purposes God has for them.
Students and Families: Life Academy families are of diverse Christian faith denominations and various ethnicities. Life Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age or national/ethnic origin.
Academics: Life Academy has established the highest quality of educational standards. Students and staff at Life Academy start each day in chapel with worship, prayer and Biblical teaching. We then carry that Christ-centered focus throughout the day. The curriculum is designed to encourage and challenge each child to develop to his or her greatest potential. Small class size and personal attention ensure that each child is provided with the finest education possible.
Ministry Outreach: Ministry outreach is important to Life Academy. Our students are given opportunities to minister and serve each other, our community, our surrounding communities, and Guatemala.
Facility: The Life Academy facility is located on a beautifully wooded site adjacent to Bloomington's Nine Mile Creek. We have a full ball field, a playground and sledding hills. Our classrooms are spacious and provide for full class instruction, as well as small group work areas. We also have a newly updated computer lab.
